Initially, our focus will be on the space station, but we plan to branch out into areas such as manned and unmanned programs, SSRT technology and other areas of interest involving NASA and our national space effort as the organization strengthens. Just this past June, members of Student Space Action traveled to Washington, D.C. and helped in the successful lobbying of Congress in support of the space station. While we were successful this year, we can not sit back and wait for next yearÔs vote, we must press ahead. If you believe the space program is a vital part of our country's future, both in economic growth and technological advancement, then sign the Student Space Action's Interactive Petition. You can tell your elected officials exactly how much you support the space program by signing the petition. Simply follow these steps: Telnet seds.lpl.arizona.edu login> space After you submit the petition, you will receive information on your Representatives so you can contact them further by phone or mail if you desire. The petition is also accessible through the World Wide Web. Simply go to the following URL and follow the directions: URL: http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/ssa/petition.html Answer the questions and submit the petition and you will receive the same information as the telnet version. You will also have the option of linking to the space station home page where you can read up-to-date information on the space station, including issues of "Space Station This Week." If you believe that NASA should remain as an engine for continued space exploration, then tell everyone you know to sign this petition. Please forward this message to anyone you may feel would want to be a part of this effort. SPACE STATION: IT'S ABOUT LIFE ON EARTH!! If you believe that our government, by supporting an initiative like the space station, is making an investment in the future generation of this great nation, then send your message to Washington by signing the Student Space Action Interactive Petition. Your voice does count! And it WILL make a difference! Sincerely, -- Student Space Action "Don't Take Away Our Frontier!" I ftp'ed the "Broadcast" program from ftp.demon.co.uk /pub/ham/mac but it is very old, and would crash with a System Error under System 7.1 on a Quadra 700. The program that Gilbert Macklin did was receive-only and he is currently working on a up/download version, but is not nearly done. And these programs lack the scheduling features of WiSP or SatSked. I was forced to put the Apple 486 card in my Quadra just to run Windows and WiSP. I would be pleased to know of some working Broadcast Protocol and scheduling software for the Mac.
